Hi, I'm BB 🌱 

Hello BB Dev is where I document my journey in game development. Starting from zero, figuring things out one step at a time. 

I didn't come from a traditional tech background. For a long time, I was just trying to find direction, unsure of what I wanted to build or where I was going.

My partner used to joke that he'd teach me programming so I wouldn't cry...And for a while, I really did feel like his unpaid intern. 

Funny enough, I ended up learning game development on my own.

What started as curiosity (and a way to cope with stress) slowly turned into something I genuinely care about. Now, I'm learning how to build games using Godot and sharing that process as I go.

This blog is a mix of:

  • Devlogs from my learning process
  • My thoughts and experiences with video games
  • The tools and tech I use
  • Personal reflections as I grow through this journey

I also stream my progress weekly on Twitch as a way t o stay consistent and accountable. 

Hello BB Dev isn't about being an expert ~ It's about starting, learning, and continuing even when things feel uncertain.

You know how the first thing you learn in programming is " Hello World" ? That's where I took inspiration for my name. Hello BB Dev. My partner, Ursaril, calls me "BB." For the longest time, he's been encouraging me to learn programming. Whenever I felt lost or overwhelmed about my future, he would tell me: "Turuan kita magprogramming para hindi ka na umiyak. At magkaka life skill ka pa!" (I'll teach you programming so you won't cry. And you'll gain a life skill too!) Tangy TD - A Roguelike That Kept Me Up Until 4AM

I first came across it through posts and articles about the developer breaking down in tears after seeing the game's success.  That moment stuck with me. As someone learning game development myself, I couldn't help but feel curious... and a little inspired. So I decided to try the game for myself.  First Impressions A little context: I love  roguelikes and roguelites. It's one of those games that instantly makes a game feel more replayable for me. My Stardew Valley: Festival of Seasons Concert Experience

  Image source: Film Concerts PH — Stardew Valley by ConcernedApe (Used for commentary and review purposes) My Stardew Valley: Festival of Seasons Concert Experience      I finally touched grass in real life... only to get transported straight into the peaceful world of Stardew Valley.   Last weekend, Stardew Valley: Festival of Seasons arrived in Manila, presented by ConcernedApe and Film Concerts PH. It was a beautiful celebration of one of the most beloved cozy games of all time. The show was led by Thanapol Setabrahmana, conductor and music arranger for both Festival of Seasons and Symphony of Seasons,  accompanied by the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra. Both the 3PM and 7PM shows sold out , and honestly, that energy could be felt immediately.  I've attended a performance at Solaire Theatre before, but this audience felt different.
